The initial idea was proposed by the talented designer Jaqueline Eum at CREATIVE JDEA . She wanted a giant mural for the walls of a new sushi place in LA called “Aburi”. After some sketches and various alterations this was the final piece. I sent over the vectors and Jaqueline printed some vinyl wall paper . You can see the result in the photos below.
Sushi restaurant mural
The very talented Jacquline from creative JDEA interior design , commissioned this piece to go on an interior wall in the Arubi sushi restaurant in LA. She had the idea of a traditional ukiyo e scene but one where the protagonists wielded kitchen utensils instead of katana .
